About Phuket

Phuket is the largest island in Thailand, roughly the size of Singapore with a population of 300.000 people. It is located 1 hour’s flight south of Bangkok on the west coast of Thailand on the Andaman Sea. The neighboring provinces are Phangnga in the north and Krabi in the east.

The island has a unique, mountainous landscape, with rich and colorful vegetation! Its fine sandy beaches are the main reason Phuket is called the pearl of the Andaman Sea, as it is one of the most beautiful places in Thailand.

The temperatures hardly drop below 25 ° C even during the monsoon season, while in the dry months you can expect up to 35 ° C in bright sunshine.

In Phuket City you will encounter a totally different picture than in the rest of the island. The small metropolis combines perfectly the Chinese with the Portuguese architectural style. The city’s nightlife is exciting and offers something for every visitor, from large dance clubs to cozy bars.

If you need some quite time to relax, the Nai Yang National Park in the north and the isolated beaches in the east of the island are a welcome change.
