About Skiathos

This island of the northern Sporades is also known as the Caribbean of Greece. It is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Greece.

The city of Skiathos is the heart of the island. There you will find a large number of restaurants, bars, clubs and shops. Some other facilities, such as tourist and car rental offices, are also at visitors’ disposal.

The city of Skiathos is very popular among young people, arriving there from all over the world, including Greece. The sounds of all kinds of music, from mainstream pop to alternative rock or jazz can be heard from the bars and clubs of the island. Those, who tend to listen to the traditional Greek folk or pop music, can enjoy it in plenty of taverns and clubs.

Skiathos attracts holidaymakers due to its beautiful golden sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. Those, that are easy to get to, are located on the south coast of the island, the most famous of which, Koukounaries, is just at the end of the main road.

As one of a few Greek Islands, Skiathos offers perfect conditions for hikers, mountain bikers, nature lovers, as well as birdwatchers.
